epiphany of the day
Thursday, June 24th, 2010, 12:10 pmconduct is more important to me than correctness.
it is more important to me that people, including myself, conduct themselves in a way that is considerate and respectful, and less important who is right and who is wrong.
sometimes i get stuck on the right and wrong issue, and sometimes i am not very nice in a debate (and that disappoints me, and i aim to better myself so it doesn’t happen), but overall, my ideal is the above.
lots of people don’t seem to agree.
or maybe it’s just because people’s ideas of appropriate conduct are so much more subjective than the issue of right or wrong.
but i think if you’re focussing on who’s right and who’s wrong, you’re totally missing the point of human interaction.
but maybe that’s not the point that others are seeking.
hmmm.
