this is our new house. sorta. the design is unfathomable, and even though i sketch house plans for fun (yes, i am that boring), i couldn’t figure this place out to draw. so i came up with this rough sims 2 representation.

see the corner of the bedroom that juts into the lounge/dining area? i ran into that the other day. my arm has a massive bruise where i hit it. i was distracted by the halo 3 beta on the tv, see. it’s very pretty.

anyway, there you go.

we’re moving at work next friday am. i’m in a meeting all thursday. this means, my office, and my boss’ office, and this other manager’s office, all need to be completely packed up (by me) by wednesday afternoon. but thats okay really, because even after 4 moves in as many years, i still love putting stuff in boxes!

in other news, its nearly my birthday, and i have no idea what i want, or if i want to do anything. my birthday has always meant so much to me, i guess because it was the one day i felt my brother didn’t get all the attention. heh. but they never met previous expectations. until recently (say, the last 3 years?) :) so anyway, now i’m kinda contented - dont get me wrong people, i still want attention and presents and fun and frivolity, but i guess, i’m just more relaxed about it. which can only be a good thing.

this weekend, i hope, will consist of movies and bowling, two of my very favourite things to do. then next weekend, i suspect i should plan something for my birthday, keeping in mind, because its so close to christmas, all the good restaurants in sydney will be booked out. meh, i dont think i want to go out for dinner anyway. geez, i dont know. leave it with me.

i love our new place so much - its so pretty. we’re mostly settled in now, which is great. still some boxes lying around, but the last part’s always the hard part.

planning to have people over lots over the next few weeks. it should be much fun. am looking forward to it more now that we have a place to be proud of and such. last place was nice, but didnt really feel like home. this feels more like home.

saturday night we went clubbing. because we’re much closer to the city, we got the train in, which meant kurt could drink. didn’t dance much - spent the majority of time chatting to friends, which was lovely. ran into some people i know including a girl i went to primary school with. very weird. am still recovering from the hangover i woke up with on sunday afternoon.

sunday was supposed to be soccer, but it stormed … so we hung out with dan, jez and renae instead. watched johnny english (not as funny as i’d hoped), ate nando’s (not as nice as i’d hoped), and ate chocolate (good old chocolate never lets me down).

today, mum and her fella came over and brought cake and plastic chairs. so we ate, exchanged photos, drank wine and ate some more.

and now i’m exhausted.

packing, and more packing. but its okay because it needs to be done and at the end of the day, i like helping to get the job done.

found things that i thought i had lost, which is always tops. thats one of the good things about moving, i suppose. i’m looking forward to being in our new place; cant wait.

want to crawl under a rock for a while.

because i am retardogirl, not only am i still up at midnight on a sunday night, but i’m even making a post! see my dedication?

work tomorrow. huzzah! just when i was starting to relax, enjoy myself and stop having random panic attacks.

on the silver lining side of this cloud however, our application for the new place we wanted was approved! yay! so moving will take place in 2 weeks! yay!!! looking forward to it very much.

. . . except why is it we always get ourselves into these positions right when we’re going through a whole bunch of other stuff? ie. kurt’s working 6 days a week at the moment, and for the past 6 weeks, i’ve been working 10 hours a day or so, getting into the swing of this new job i’ve got. but thats gonna stop damnit. there’s only so much a person can do right? right?! gulp.
