just had the best birthday-dinner-with-friends ever. man, i love my friends. we had swiss … mmm fondue … and the crazy swiss man yelled a lot, and i got a strange hug/kiss thing from him cos it was my birthday, and i got lots of presents like ‘i, robot’, and a chocolate fondue set, and a book, and a very funky desk calendar and this amazing necklace and earring set thing. sweet. i am so lucky. i have the best friends, and the best bear ever.

i have a favourite german word. it is manchmal. it means sometimes. i think its the best. probably because it makes me think of ‘munch’ which is a brilliant word, especially since it refers to food, and food is good. yum. food.

i am a social butterfly. flap flap. last friday night, bowling; last saturday night, friends + wine + cards; last sunday, mum’s place for brunch; monday, first day at brand new office, some bonding required; tuesday, group hug meeting organised by h.r at my new office; yesterday, cocktail function (which turned out to actually be wine tasting) at head office; today, going shopping with colleague to purchase nibblies and such for …; friday, office xmas party.

but don’t get me wrong, a girl always has choices, and i chose / choose to participate in all the above. so i shouldn’t complain :) but really. could i have a day to myself please?

in other related news, i got lots of fun stuff for my birthday - 4 dvds, a tshirt, sims vacation, gift vouchers - plus kurty and i have bought most of our xmas presents for each other now - hunter, the reckoning (ps2), and another couple of dvds. i don’t expect that we’re going to be surfacing much over xmas, which is just fine with me. i think a bit of a rest would make a nice change.
